What started out as a refreshing glass of freshly squeezed orange juice has turned into a smoothie revolution!
Julius Freed started selling freshly squeezed orange juice in 1926. His friend, Bill Hamlin also loved oranges but found them too acidic for his tummy so he started blending them with a few other ingredients. He liked it so much that he told Julius about it…and he liked it so much that he shared it with his customers…and sure enough, they liked it so much that they lined up in his store yelling, “Give me an orange, Julius!” Thank you Julius and Bill, you truely have change the way of life for our children, and their children’s children, and their children’s children!
The Orange Julius is a staple in our household and makes a great basic recipe to start experimenting with variations.
