Gorgeous Green Juice
3-4 celery stalks
4-5 large fistfulls of spinach or kale
1 green pepper
parsley or cilantro (to taste)
1/2 lime, peeled
1 inch fresh ginger, peeled
* 1-2 apples (optional: depending on sweetness desired)
* I started drinking my Gorgeous Green Juice two years ago and really LOVE it! My children, however, are still adjusting to the flavours and they prefer if I add in 1 or 2 apples and omit the parsley or cilantro as their tastebuds prefer sweet over savory.
You can adjust the flavours as you like, maybe add another cucumber if it is too tart, or add a bit of cayenne for a zippy boost to your immune system. There are no rules, only great tasting Green Juices!
Juice and Go!
Did you know that you can make your Gorgeous Green Juice ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator! All you need to do is pour your juice into a jar and fill it to the top, then place the sealer on. The trick is not to leave any air between your juice and the lid. Air will oxodize the fresh juice and it will NOT taste fresh! I’ve made juice and kept it in the refrigerator up to 5 days and it still tasted fantastic. Remember, of course, that fresh juice will always taste the best but it sure is nice to grab a fresh juice when you’re on the go!
